Do not use words that are associated with anyone or anything–it must be about you.

An example: Teacher, creative.
Don’t write, mother, father, loving compassionate (they are all associated with others)

The object is to weed through all the layers of lies that have defined you. Digging deep inside discovering the real person, before life got in the way. Looking into a mirror we see through the eyes of others perceptions, which are usually based on behaviors.

Recognizing your gifts, abilities, and strengths diminishes the input of others and will reveal the truth.

When you know, without doubt, who you are, your ability to see your value and worth will rise to the surface. Believing you have value becomes a solid foundation to begin to build on; this will become the stronghold of your life.

Don’t lose your personal form, put it in a safe place and be looking for the next exercise.

Marcia

On this day, Dan decides to teach. He takes the marker and writes in big letters “Dig Deeper!” and proceeds to mock and make fun of Marcia, our facilitator. Sitting in the first row is Marcia watching, listening and laughing uncontrollably. Her cheeks ache and her stomach hurts from the laughter. The group joins in as Dan does not miss a beat mimicking how Marcia speaks, her movements and expression.

Our meetings are always filled with laughter, but without a doubt, this one meeting was the best in 12 years!

Courageous!
