Bipolar Insights - Founded July 1998

Bipolar Insights is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Corporation (Kindred Spirit), dedicated to aid and support persons diagnosed with bipolar disorder, their families, and the community. Bipolar Insights was established in July 1998 to address the mental health needs of those who have bipolar disorder. It is Our Mission to educate the community by removing the prominent misconceptions surrounding bipolar disorder. Our goal is to educate families affected by bipolar disorder through a low cost education center, support, counseling, literature, DVD’s, and seminars.

With the growing need for mental health support, attendance at Bipolar Insights has grown by 70% over the last year. Referrals for information has exceeded over 5,000 clients both locally and throughout the nation. 90% of those who attend a Bipolar Insights support group regularly have maintained balance for several years. In 2008, Bipolar Insights expanded their service and opened a second educational site (Support Groups). The organization is widely recognized by mental health facilities and the psychiatric profession.

Bipolar Insights is located in Placerville, California. The organization serves the Sierra Foothills, including El Dorado, Placer and Sacramento counties.
